This Journal is book one of two that I designed for a client who needed to convert more than 100 website blog posts into a single book documenting the birth story of their second child. The overarching theme for each week of pregnancy was comparing the size of the developing child to a real world food item. I used this theme as a foundation to incorporate line iconography of fruits, vegetables, junk foods and other birth related visuals to decorate each weekly section. The Book’s color scheme was inspired by the nursery color swatches chosen by my client during their birth journey. For their baby girl, the color was pink.
