This Journal is book one of two that I designed for a client who needed to convert more than 100 website blog posts into a single book documenting the birth story of their first child. The overarching theme for each week of pregnancy was comparing the size of the developing child to a fruit/vegetable. I used this theme as a foundation to incorporate line iconography of fruits, vegetables and other birth related visuals to decorate each weekly section. The Book’s color scheme was inspired by the nursery color swatches chosen by my client during their birth journey. For their baby boy, the color was Navy blue.
